This page covers everything you need to do from the moment you create your account to the moment you're ready to play or run your first event.
1 Create an Account
Go to mtgsl.cloud and click Register. You'll need:
- A valid email address
- A screen name (your public display name across all leagues)
- A password
Your account starts on the Casual tier. You can upgrade at any time from your Profile page.
2 Verify Your Email
After registering, MTGSL sends a verification email to the address you provided.
Didn't receive the email?
- Check your spam or junk folder
- Go to your Dashboard - the verification banner has a Resend Verification button
3 Complete Your Profile
Go to your Profile (top-right avatar or navigation menu) and fill in:
- Avatar - click your avatar to upload a profile image
- Screen Name - your public name across all leagues
- Pronouns - optional, displayed on your public profile
Your profile is visible to other players in leagues you participate in.
4 Take the Onboarding Tour
When you first log in, MTGSL offers an interactive guided tour. The tour walks you through:
- The Dashboard and how to find your leagues
- Creating a league
- Navigating a league page (standings, matches, settings)
- Managing organisations and series (Community/LGS tiers)
- Your profile and match analytics
You can skip the tour at any time, or restart it from the dashboard. The tour covers each area as you navigate to it rather than all at once.
5 Understand Your Tier
Your account tier controls what you can create and manage. Here's a quick summary:
